This year, we remained active at conferences, kept track of legislative developments and focused on post-hire services.

We closely monitored second chance bills and provided useful information in our blog, state laws section and other educational resources. Members of our team also contributed to events held by the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and other notable entities to keep up with the latest news on screening, compliance and related topics.

In 2025 we also shared tips on how to continuously keep your staff, company and customers safe with annual screenings and criminal monitoring. These essential tools greatly enhance your risk mitigation measures and create fair, secure workplaces.

One of our favorite milestones this year was the release of Backgrounds Online 7.0:

Holiday Schedule

Backgrounds Online will be closed on December 25th and 26th, as well as December 31st and January 1st.
